The Springtime Muse
Brought joyful news
Of warmer days begun.

She knocked on doors–
“Put down your chores!
Prepare for warming Sun!”

Then, kicking brooms,
Destroying rooms,
She drove them out and cried,

“There’s more to life
Than rake and knife!
Come, let us dance outside!”
